Series of illustrations depicting the non-linear journey of self-acceptance.
Day Dreamers is a series of nine spot illustrations that explores the link between humans and clouds. My goal was to juxtapose clouds and human-like figures to personify the non-linear journey of self-acceptance. The colorful abstractions that decorate each image were based on this installation video.
Starting with sketches and using a library of cloud photos I’ve accumulated over the years, I illustrated the figures (or “day dreamers”) into their fluffy masses and layered the prismatic-light-abstractions as a finishing touch.
