The Creation of Buffalo Mural

Sports-themed mural created during the 2025 Hertel Alley Mural Festival in Buffalo, NY.

Inspired by The Creation of Adam, this mural pays homage to Buffalo’s dedicated sports culture and the founding of our city in 1832. It features the colors from the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres Goat Head, as well as the stars and lightning bolts from our city flag.

As a team of four, our goal was to create a mural that promoted viewer interactivity and cultural pride, executed in a saturated color palette. We collaborated over the course of three months to arrive at our concept, and completed painting the mural in two days during the Hertel Alley Mural Festival.

My roles included project management, organizing files and meetings, maintaining communication with Arts Services Inc. (ASI), as well as collaboration on concept development, budgeting and gathering materials, and painting during festival weekend.

Thank you to Gaitrie Subryan, Kelsey Capruso and everyone at ASI, as well as Council Member Joel Feroleto, for supporting all the artists and organizing this incredible event. It was an absolute honor to participate!
